The cybersecurity skills shortage India faces, in charts

Cyber-security company CloudSEK has claimed that several hackers likely attacked India’s digital infrastructure during the recent G20 summit. Between 2020 and 2022, the country averaged 1.3 million cybersecurity incidents per year. An increasing number of cyberattacks could hamper India’s digital ambitions, with the number of Internet users in the country projected to rise from 692 million in 2022 to 900 million by 2025. India also faces a significant shortage in its cybersecurity workforce.
