North Korea’s Lazarus Group Suspected in $31 Million CoinEx Heist

The North Korea-affiliated Lazarus Group has reportedly stolen nearly $240 million in cryptocurrency since June 2023, significantly escalating its hacks. The hacking group is suspected of stealing $31 million in digital assets from the CoinEx exchange in September. The group has also targeted Atomic Wallet, CoinsPaid, Alphapo, and Stake.com. The blockchain analytics firm suggests that these recent attacks represent a shift from targeting decentralized services to centralized ones.
