Lockheed Risks $800 Million Withheld Over New F-35 Software

The Pentagon may withhold over $800m in payments from Lockheed Martin until approval is won for the software powering its new model of the F-35 aircraft. The company is contracted to produce up to 124 new TR-3 model fighter jets by June 2022, but the Pentagon is withholding $7m per aircraft until the new software is validated.
