Caesars Entertainment Paid $15 Million Ransom After Cyberattack

Caesars Entertainment reportedly paid a $15m ransom after falling victim to a cyberattack over the summer. The operator of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas is expected to disclose the attack in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The hackers used a social engineering scheme to breach the company’s security, posing as an employee to change a password.
