A Passwordless Future – Cyber Defense Magazine

The widespread use of passwords for digital security is flawed and inefficient, according to Sam Rehman, SVP and Chief Information Security Officer at EPAM Systems. As online interactions increase, passwords are more likely to be forgotten or stolen, making personal data more vulnerable. As a response, zero trust approaches and passwordless strategies like biometrics and multi-factor authentication are gaining popularity. However, these methods also have limitations and must ensure a bridge between the account holder and the biometric data. All these solutions need to focus on user experience and cater to diverse populations.
